Our department stands at the forefront of imaging excellence, empowered by a suite of state-of-the-art scanners designed to perform both routine and advanced applications. At the heart of our Imaging Science Department lies the technological prowess of a 3T and 1.5T MRI scanners, capable of executing a spectrum of tasks, including Cardiac MRI, Neuro Imaging, MR Liver Elastography, and whole-body DWI.
Adding to our repertoire, we feature two MDCT scanners, heralding a new era of advanced applications encompassing Coronary CT and Image-Guided Procedures. In the Division of Women Imaging, the latest Digital Mammography unit boasts an array of capabilities, including Tomosynthesis, Stereotacty, and Contrast Mammography, enabling precise breast interventions.
A recent and noteworthy addition to our arsenal is the High-end Biplane Cath-lab, a technological marvel equipped with on-board CBCT, Image Fusion, and Navigation Tools. This cutting-edge resource empowers us to deliver next-level precision and innovation in medical imaging.

Given MIMS' status as a Quaternary Health Care Centre, our Radiology Department is a bustling hub, active around the clock. This dynamic environment ensures residents gain hands-on experience in evaluating imaging modalities across all organ systems. Regular interdepartmental and clinical meetings are integral, enhancing residents' formal presentation skills. In-house assessments, such as spotting/OSCE and theoretical exams, are conducted to thoroughly prepare candidates for the final examination.
Learning resources abound within the department and hospital. From the DNB Hub and library to online journal access and radiology learning websites, we offer a comprehensive learning ecosystem. Residents are strongly encouraged to engage in academic programs and attend conferences, expanding their knowledge across various subjects.

Choosing ASTER MIMS for my DNB radiology course was one of the finest decisions of my life both

Ramakrishnan sir (our HOD) and other respected faculties.
Academically, our department was outstanding with all new modalities, case load, hands on training and
all the morning discussions. Our workstation became a second home with all the celebrations, cake
cuttings creating memories and relieving the stress of the hectic PG life.
I owe my department for the confidence now I feel while working as a consultant radiologist. I am still
missing my department, teachers and my co PGs even after one year of stepping out.

The decision to join MIMS to pursue DNB in Radio Diagnosis was one of the best decisions I ever made. At AIR 632 my other option being MD Radio Diagnosis in Surat medical College, I decided to join MIMS after spending a day at the department. As I reflect upon my journey, I can confidently say that my experience has been nothing short of transformative, and I am immensely thankful for the knowledge and skills I have gained. The faculty creates an inspiring environment for learning and is dedicated in imparting knowledge and providing guidance. They encourage critical thinking and problem solving abilities which helped me later at my work place. The well structured curriculum allows to explore various facets of the chosen speciality and you get enough hands on sessions which make sure that you emerge as a confident radiologist. There is definite emphasis on team work and collaboration which strengthen your ability to work as part of a team. The state of the art equipments, availability and access to recent advances in imaging ensure that you learn everything and stay updated.
